Earlier this month, former chief executive officer of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Harvey L. Neiman, MD, FACR, passed away after a long-standing illness. Seen as a visionary in the field of radiology and beyond, Dr. Neiman helped bring the ACR to national prominence, making it one of the largest and most influential medical specialty organizations in the world. He was also dedicated to the many needs and desires of his patients, making sure they received the quality care they deserved. Born in Detroit, Neiman earned his bachelor’s and medical degree from Wayne State University and from there went on to pave the way in modern radiology.
